LM Digital

Privacy policy

The short version: I collect the details you send me so I can reply and do the work you asked for. Nothing is sold, nothing goes to advertisers, and there is no marketing list.

Last updated August 2026.

Who I am

LM Digital is the trading name of Luke Millward, a sole trader based in Stockport. I am the only person who handles your data, and you can reach me about any of it at hello@lmdigital.uk.

What I collect and why

If you use the contact form or email me: your name, your email address and whatever else you choose to tell me, which usually means a business name, sometimes a phone number, and your message. I use it to reply, to quote, and to carry out anything we agree. The lawful basis is taking steps you have asked for before entering a contract, together with my legitimate interest in answering people who write to me.

If you become a client: the details needed to build or look after your site and to invoice you, which means contact details, a billing address and a record of the work. UK tax law requires me to keep invoices and basic accounting records for six years.

I collect nothing else, and I never buy, sell or swap contact lists.

Who else handles your data

These services process data on my behalf, only so they can do the job they are there for.

  • Web3Forms delivers contact form messages to my inbox. It passes the message through rather than keeping a copy for its own use. This is only in play once the form is switched on.
  • Cloudflare hosts this site and, like any host, records standard technical logs such as IP addresses and the pages requested. If visitor statistics are switched on it will be Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not profile individual visitors.

Payments are invoiced directly and agreed in writing beforehand, so there is no payment processor holding your card details through this site.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.

How long I keep things

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within a year. Client records are kept while you are a client, and invoices and accounting records for the six years the law requires. Backups of a client website are kept only as long as the build or the care plan needs them.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. If a legal requirement such as a tax record means I cannot delete something yet, I will say so plainly and tell you when it goes. Email hello@lmdigital.uk and I will sort it, with no forms to fill in.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes here with a new date at the top.
